With his flashy style and some may even say "loud mouth", Tony Francis is considerd to be one of the top hurdlers of his time. It was while being raised by both parents (Tony Sr., and Marilyn Francis), when Tony grasped the love for the sport of track and field. His father/coach works along with his wife at the Giddings State Home and School. While raising both kids (Nicole Francis and Tony Francis), Tony Francis Sr. began to develop a local track and field team by the name of Giddings Golden Gliders(now known as L.C Express)which not only attracted his sons attention, but many local kids as well.(athletes by the names of: Jermaine Cooper, Jason Hodge, Larry Wade, Lamesia Thomas, and many more) "To tell the truth, i know that i wouldn't be the way that i am today without the help of L.C Express coaching staff. This program has taught me a lot, on and off the track. We are like family." said Tony.
